External Herbal Therapy

For many conditions, especially traumatic injury and musculoskeletal pain, externally applied liniments, soaks, poultices and plasters are necessary for complete healing.

A specially prepared herb called mugwort is burned to gently warm acupuncture points and meridians. It produces a particularly therapeutic and penetrating heat, and works wonders for many conditions, especially if they are caused by cold lodged in the body.

Fire is used to create a vacuum inside a glass cup, which is then applied to areas with large muscles. Cupping has been used not only in China but throughout the world to treat musculoskeletal and respiratory problems, as well as many other conditions.
